Twitch's SUBtember promotion is back for another year. This year's promotion runs from Friday, August 28, 2026, to Thursday, October 1, 2026. The brand partners this year are both State Farm and Minecraft, which is interesting, as historically it's only been one main advertiser - I expect that to impact the promotions.

  From 1 PM ET on September 25 until 1 PM ET on October 1, 2026. (~6 Days)

The promotion is nearly the same as in years past (2025 and 2024). The promotion offers a discount on self-paid subs and occasionally runs unique promotions like Bonus Subs (Gifting 5+ subs earns bonus subs) or Bonus Bits (which reward additional Bits when giving a certain amount) - though this year those Bonus Bits are ONLY given if you use Custom Power Ups. Regular Cheered Bits will not work.

Creators also get their FULL cut. This is the only time of the year when a sub discount isn't shared!

My Thoughts:

SUBtember is the best time for Twitch creators to get the most value from subscribers. Creators should focus on getting 6-month subs to maximize value for their community (with the least going to Twitch) AND to have a predictable sub income for those six months. You also get SIX Plus Points with Tier 3 Subs, making it easier to potentially unlock a higher sub split (17 Tier 3 Subs = 60% Split for a Year, 50 Tier 3 Subs= 70% Sub Split for a Year).

If you're a Partner, you ALWAYS get a 70% split on Tier 3 subs, meaning that if your community subscribes for 6-months at Tier 3, nearly EVERY dollar they spend will go to you. (And with the upcoming GIFs in Chat for Tier 2 and Tier 3 subscribers, there's more value coming!)
