Hello and Happy Thanksgiving from Canada! We're going to jump into it, but I wanted to thank everyone who emailed or messaged me with well wishes from last week. Happy to report I am on the mend and already feeling better!
For those asking about the Twitchcon 2026 Event List, I've been working on it the last couple of days - but boy, is there just zero excitement surrounding the event, and as such, the number of brands hosting parties is significantly less than 1 month prior in 2025. If you are a brand, or you have some intel on events, please reach out to be added to the list. I intend to make it more public in the next week or so.
And now, let's get into the news!
Streamlabs is the first streaming tool to integrate deeply with Twitter (X)! You can now use your Streamlabs Cloudbot for commands (and moderation); you can combine chats so you can see what's being said across platforms; and you now have notifications/alerts when someone follows or reposts your posts on Twitter X!
Check them out in Twitter X's Developer Exhibit!
🟪 TWITCH
- Twitch added crossover streaming for Amazon Live streamers. They also added Amazon product listing banners. Twitch is such a weird company that even their Amazon integrations are contrived.
- Twitch Spendable Balance can now be used for subs.
- DJWheat shared some history of how co-streaming and non-gaming content happened on Twitch.
- New Paid Badges: Call of Duty MW4, DayZ, Sonic Racing, Vaultbreakers, Witchspire,
- New Watch Time Badges: Pokemon + Evolution, Pokemon Evolutions (Pokemon Campaign), Vaultbreakers (60 mins), Witchspire (60 + 240 mins)
🟥 YOUTUBE
- YouTube is slowly launching Creator Discovery, which lets creators search for channels based on backend data in Studio.
- YouTube is now America's top source for political news.
- YouTube is testing a desktop viewing mode with comments as the sidebar.
- YouTube is allowing more gambling ads.
🟦 OTHER PLATFORMS
- Kick is now available on LG Smart TVs, with Samsung coming soon.
- Streamlabs is now on Twitter X's Developer exhibit. While creators could always stream to the platform, this update adds Cloudbot support, widgets, stream scheduling, and more. (Ad)
