Welcome to this week's newsletter! I'm going to keep this intro short today because I'm in the process of packing, as I move at the end of the month. I cannot tell you how much I hate (and enjoy) this process... The decluttering and removal of so many things feels great, but it's a lot of work. And it made me realize I haven't done this for my streaming/content creation workflow in a while. So, in between packing boxes, I'm also going through all my content folders and purging things as part of a spring cleanup. Content bloat comes for us all! Maybe something you've been neglecting, too? In any case, let's jump into this week's updates!

🟪 TWITCH

• Twitch is testing a "Gift 'Em All" option that gifts subs to all eligible active viewers in a stream.
• Twitch updated the DJ Program Terms, stating that they will remove Partner status from secondary accounts if you exit the DJ program. Partner DJs can apply Partner to a secondary channel for non-DJ content.
• A sitewide 35% Shared Discount runs from March 26 to 29, on 5+ gifted subs. Shared Discounts means you get your percentage cut AFTER the discount is applied.
• Twitch partnered with LinkU to launch college athletic streaming opportunities.
• New Badges: Monster Hunter Stories 3 ($), QSMP2 (Watch Time), First Stand 2026 (Watch Time), Crimson Butterfly ($),
• Custom Power Ups may be launching soon, using the existing Channel Points system but paid with Bits instead.
• Twitch's Search Bar now displays Channel Title and Viewer Count.
• Twitch improved the mobile streaming experience with adjustable chat, activity feed, and picture-in-picture multitasking (new for streamers).
• Twitch's AI-supported Auto Clips feature has now started Alpha testing.

🟥 YOUTUBE

• As of this week, YouTube creators can upload thumbnails up to 50MB (up from 2MB).
• YouTube is launching a new unskippable 30-second ad product on TVs.
• YouTube is expanding access to Likeness Detection to politicians and journalists.

⬛ TIKTOK

• TikTok is being allowed to continue operating in Canada after a national security review.
• You can now set Stories to sub-only.

🟩 OTHER STREAMERS

• On Kick, you can now clip, title, and time clips with a chat command. Example: /clip 30 This is a Clip, would generate a clip called 'This is a Clip' of the previous 30 seconds.
• Kick terminated 540 Partners.
• SOOP is launching Virtual University to train and support Vtubers.
