- Dan Clancy says his decision to unban Adin Ross had nothing to do with "business considerations." An insane thing for the CEO of an Amazon-owned company to say.
- On April 11-12, you could unlock a Kitty Marathon Badge by subscribing or gifting a sub within the category.
- A new "for_source_only" parameter was added for Shared Chat.
- The Brand Partnership Team is launching a monthly show called Backstage. The target market appears to be advertisers and brands.
- The 100-hour Highlight and Upload limit will take effect on April 19th. This is an unconfirmed rumor, but Twitch may extend the deadline to May 19th.
š„ YOUTUBE
- YouTube is testing a "Subscribe+" button that combines functionality in a drop-down menu format for subscriptions and channel memberships.
- Shorts now has an official guide on initial best practices written by YouTube.
- YouTube intends to support the NO FAKES Act by allowing creators to submit takedowns for content using their face or voice and by launching new tools to help creators detect AI depictions of them on YouTube. More details.
- YouTube may be launching Daily Timer to slow down your Shorts doomscrolling.
ā¬ TIKTOK
- A new Specialized Reward Program is launching on TikTok to increase creator earnings in various niches.
- TikTok reportedly made $39 billion outside of China last year.
š¦ DISCORD & TWITTER X
