Ad Revenue, Chat History, and YouTube Shorts Monetization

Happy Monday, everyone! I just got done watching the pilot episode of The Last of Us, and I'm already hooked! It looks great, is well cast, and does a great job setting up the story. Meanwhile, there's some equally exciting stuff to talk about. BobDuckNWeave posted his ad earnings from a single YouTube stream versus a month on Twitch. Twitch News

• Most viewers will now see Chat History load on entering a channel- an old experiment that has finally seen an expanded release.
• Twitch's Android TV App has received a significant update (screenshots here) - most notably, you can no longer chat via the app.
• Satire site Hard Drive's Twitch story is too real - "Twitch Front Page Just 10 Streamers Reacting to Each Other's Controversies."
• Partner Ad Incentive Offers appear to be worse than January offers (Q1 is always bad for ads in general.) I will be tracking it more actively this year to generate some trends - so if you're a partner, please share!
